In the DAN Basic Life Support & Defibrillation - BLS(D) course, you will learn techniques for resuscitation and prevention of brain damage due to oxygen deprivation in adults immediately after sudden cardiac arrest. In addition to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), treating bleeding wounds, treating shock and providing first aid for airway obstruction by foreign bodies, you will also learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). The AED is a device that can restore the heartbeat in cases of pulseless ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation. The DAN BLS(D) course prepares you to respond correctly in emergencies and perform simple rescue techniques safely.
