The DAN Oxygen First Aid for Diving Emergencies course teaches divers and non-divers (e.g. boat crews) the necessary skills to recognise the signs and symptoms of diving injuries and to administer first aid with oxygen in the event of diving accidents.

The DAN Oxygen First Aid for Diving Emergencies course is aimed at divers and non-divers (e.g. boat crews) and teaches the necessary skills to recognise the signs and symptoms of diving injuries and to provide first aid with oxygen until the emergency services arrive or the accident victim is taken to a medical facility. Participants learn the basic skills required to recognise diving accidents and respond appropriately – a great opportunity for experienced divers and diving instructors who want to further their education. The curriculum covers the basics of anatomy and physiology as well as the various mechanisms of accidents on and in the water.
